Insurance

ALL insurance companies are REQUIRED by law to cover lactation services, but insurance companies are often frustrating to deal with, so OC Lactation Consultant has partnered with an insurance processor called The Lactation Network (or TLN for short) to make it easier for you. Go ahead and click on over to TLN to see whether your insurance plan qualifies. If TLN works with your plan, you will be guaranteed SIX visits for no money out of pocket for you, and you will not have to argue with your insurance company about coverage, you will not need to pay for your visit, and you will not need to wait to be reimbursed. If TLN approves you, your 6 visits will be free, except for any travel fees. Even if TLN does not work with your plan, don’t despair! Your insurance is STILL required to cover lactation services, but you may need to pay out of pocket for your visits, submit your paperwork to your insurance company, and wait to be reimbursed. It’s always a good idea to contact your insurance company directly if you have any questions. Remember, if your insurance company tells you they don’t cover OC Lactation Consultant’s services, then your insurance company needs to give you a list of providers they do cover. It is your right!

Even if they won’t work with TLN (my insurance processor), your insurance company is still legally required to cover lactation services. You will need to make a self-pay appointment, pay out of pocket for your visit and submit a claim to your insurance provider to reimburse you for the cost of the visit. Payments for self-pay visits may be made by cash, check, credit card, HSA card, Paypal, Venmo, Zelle. Please contact your insurance company for the exact details of what your plan covers. Lactation Consultant

Hello! My name is Réka Morvay. If you’re wondering about my name, it is Hungarian, and pronounced “Ray-ka.” I adore working with new mothers and babies.  I believe this is a special and emotionally vulnerable time when women deserve to be surrounded by a supportive and knowledgeable environment to help them along their journey toward parenthood. I also believe that providing lactation services is about more than just giving you a few tips – it’s about building a relationship of trust, enabling you to sift through the barrage of information, and helping you find solutions that are right for you and your family. Women who feel safe and relaxed go on to become confident mothers. My goal is to provide support for you on that journey. Click here to read more about me.
